Our Nutrition

bonafide made in good faith

At Bonafide, we know great nutrition begins with natural ingredients. Our recipes are created, with high quality meats or fish, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. All of our  foods are naturally preserved, promote antioxidant health, contain Omega-3 & Omega-6 oils and are gluten free.

Poor nutrition is one of the major contributors to a dogs lower life expectancy. By feeding our dogs most commercially available food, we are unintentionally depriving them a greater ability of wellness.  Bonafide foods do not contain any by-products, corn, soy or wheat.

Why should this be important to you?

Corn, soy and wheat (Gluten) are three common ingredients found in most commercially available dog foods. Unlike high quality fresh protein, corn, soy and wheat provide little to no nutritional value for our dogs.  These ingredients are common allergens in both dogs and humans. In an attempt to increase their protein levels, many dog food companies use these as a lower quality and less expensive protein source.

We are bonafide and we believe that our food can help provide a proactive approach to your dogs overall life and health.

Satisfied Customers

"As the publisher of a pet magazine with a holistic focus, I was thrilled to try Bonafide. Our three rescued dogs go crazy for it, while I love that it is free of by-products as well as the corn, wheat and soy that causes so many problems for our allergy-prone shepherd mix. The salmon and sweet potato diet offers great ingredients like pumpkin for healthy digestion, while the low-calorie adult health formula helps to maintain healthy weight as well as Glucosamine and Chondroitin to aid in joint support, which is crucial for our two senior dogs. Moreover, I appreciate Bonafide's commitment to the local community and to supporting animal rescue. Delicious, healthy nutrition for my four-legged family members and a grassroots effort to make a positive difference... that is something Nashville Paw can proudly stand behind."

When Bonafide donated 25 bags (35 lbs) of dog food to our rescue, I could not believe our good fortune. I had recently been laid off of my job. Food is one of our biggest expenses so I was anticipating a difficult time ahead. When I fed my rescues their new Bonafide food they all literally woofed it down. I like knowing that my babies are getting the best possible nutrition and loving every bite. I am pleased to be able to wholeheartedly recommend this food to all of our future dog families.

Peggy Jordan - Director, Rags to Riches Animal Rescue

I have been doing doggy rescue for about 25 years and have fostered for the SPCA of TN, ACES, NBRAN, ABR, GSCA , Above and Beyond ES rescue and Coffee County Humane Society. I probably pull about 30 dogs a year and foster them until they are adopted. The Bonafide dog food was absolutely fabulous and was fed to English Setters, Brittanys, mixed breeds and Gordon Setters. The dogs loved both the salmon and beef but I think they preferred the salmon. The one biggest difference I saw in feeding this food was no loose stools which was fabulous. One little Brittany with pancreatic insufficiency gained weight of which I was very proud. I also believe that there was an improvement in dogs coats, especially itchiness. As a dog lover, I endorse this wonderful product.

Anna Niggler - Settertown Rescue

As a professional dog trainer I have tried lots of different dog foods. I currently have four different breeds on Bonafide. My Border Collies are the hardest to keep weight on. Feeding Bonafide, they have sustained their weight and all have wonderful shiny coats. I have not seen any energy loss with long days of training.
